Please click Here to Download 2010-2011 registration form. 新澤西州華音青少年合唱團招生 Hwa-Yin Youth Chorale recruiting The Northern New Jersey Chinese American Hwa-Yin Youth Chorale, also known as the "Hwa-Yin Youth Chorus"(華音青少年合唱團), was founded in October 1989 with the goal of nurturing, enriching, and broadening the culture horizons of children through music education. Hwa-Yin is a non-profit, self funded organization directed by Mrs. Shinwen Chung, and the families are from Northern New Jersey. Members meet on Sunday afternoon for practice. We have active members’ ages from seven to eighteen and our practice site has been provided by the Chinese Christian Church of New Jersey since 1997. Hwa-Yin believes that music is an universal language that transcends cultural barriers and communicates feelings deep within the soul of people. It disseminates passion and love among all those who appreciate it and use a wordless description of human history with all its glory and suffering. Music reminds us we are able to love and share our love. 華音青少年合唱團已成立二十多年, 現有五十多位團員, 年齡自八歲至十八歲不等. 在這過去的二十多年中, 許多孩子們在華音的琴韻歌聲中成長, 成熟, 邁向他們的未來. 盼望您的孩子也能加入華音, 在他們年少的歲月中, 添上華音的樂章, 享受志同道合的友情, 彼此提攜, 互相勉勵, 青春奔放, 歌聲飛揚, 一生回味無窮. 在華音, 我們有歌, 有舞, 內容有中西樂器, 有伴奏, 有獨奏; 有冬夏辛勤的練習, 更有引以為榮的亮麗演出成果, 有社區的義演, 年度公演, 更有異國的遠征. 多年前華音參加維也納的國際音樂合唱節, 載譽而歸. 在華音, 我們的孩子們年年參加All State 和 regional honor choir 的徵選,年年多位華音團員榮譽入選. Awesome!
HwaYin's performance at Drew University Dorothy Young Art Center concert hall last night was a great success! I received so many congratulations and good words from our guests and friends. Deputy Director General Mr. Sun said that he was so amazed at our concert, and he would like to come next year. We are so thankful for the efforts that our dear conductor Mrs. Chung and all the parents behind the scene put into this concert. With their support, we made a achievement!
Our nine months' hard work paid off. Give ourselves a big hand! Hope all the members can sing: HOW CAN I KEEP FROM SINGING IN COLLEGE!
There will be one more break on Sunday, 5/30. Please come back on Sunday, 6/6/10 and 6/13/10 at 5:00 pm for Honor Choir audition training and Q&A. If your friends' children are interested in join HwaYin, please send me their email addresses and invite them to come for auditions on 6/6 and 6/13. They are very welcome to join our potluck on Sunday, 6/13 at 6:30 pm in CCCNJ church cafeteria. All the parents, please show up on 6/13 at 6:00 pm for a parents meeting.
